State judo from Aug. 26

The Kerala State judo championships, for seniors and juniors, will be held at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Mookannur near Angamaly, on August 26 and 27. Over 500 judokas will be seen in action.
The senior championship, for men and women, will be held on the first day and the junior boys and girls events the next day.

Competition Success Review-GHRDC has launched a survey to rank Engineering colleges in India to help and motivate aspiring engineering students and institutes. The main priority of the survey was to evaluate the intellectual capital of an institute. It is the most reliable report based on parameters like physical and academic infrastructure, faculty, research and consultancy, academic programmes and placement.

According to their survey report, among the Top 50 engineering colleges in recent times, Federal Institute of Science And Technology, Angamaly emerged as promising in the area of engineering education and have been able to make impact with its good infrastructure facilities and quality education....

Mahatma Gandhi University Interzone Table Tennis Tournament Mens & Womens Championship for FISAT

FISAT Engineering College, Angamally won the Championships for the men and women in the M.G.University Interzone Table Tennis Tournament held at St.Theresas College, Ernakulam.

In the Men's Championship, FISAT defeated S.D.College Kanjirapilly 3- 0 in the knockout round. In the league round, FISAT defeated SH College, Thevara, Marion College Kuttikanam, and Govt Medical College Kottayam 3- 0 and won the title. Vysakh Ravi, Angelo Porathoor, Thabsheer.K.K, Benjamin A Peter and Nishil Rajan represented FISAT.

In the women's Champioship, FISAT defeated Govt Ayurveda College, Thripunithura 3- 0 in the knock out round. In the league round,FISAT girls defeated St. Theresas College, Ernakulam, St.Gitts college, Kottayam and U.C. College Aluva 3- 0 and won the title. Lakshmi Ramachandran, Liya Chacko, Aparna Shaju and Seira Selvin represented FISAT.

Vysakh Ravi, Angelo Porathoor, Lakshmi Ramachandran, Liya Chacko and Aparna Shaju were selected to M.G.University Table Tennis team.

Ohh we are soo happy that our new princi is with us...hey y im saying is because............

yaaa ONAM celebrations we held on last Friday { here i mean 22nd }
even there was no any sadya and all it was much interesting...
boys all with mundu{ i was one experiencing tat first ever }...and gals { all gorgeous } in sarees....wow!!!!!
was enjoying all and everyone...
There were mesmerizing events...i mean competitions..
one such was the traditional ONAM POKALLAM..
Th day 4 celebration was announced the day before celebrationz ie 21st so that we couldnt start up well...but even tat day some stayed back...each were assigned specific tasks...some went 4 ordering pokkalam..and some with payasam...some for funding...
most were cooperating...

started the day wit fyn... when reached the college we stunned...
its was sumthg different wat we expected...every where there was the cloud of festival...
and yes..we too were bit prepared...
hehe.....
seeing all guys and gals..felt that whole beauties are in FISAT.....wow its sumthg special...
ONAM pookalam competition held by 12.30....
for results they suspended the class by 3.30..
at that tym there were the competition of VADAM VALI....{ the competition seemz quite known to every one. tug f war. }
yaa S5 boys we rocked with tat...and reached the finals...hehe
we given our first position to our seniors { they r going na -so some respect as our part }
we reached the finals by beating MCA boys....:)

haaa yaa finally by 4.00 we had our results....
CS-B got first for the BEST POKALAM { its my clss :D } i was on the top for a moment...
we all shouted ol we got...i tht the whole colg was vibrating in our freq..
lastly all we supplied wit the ONAM PAYASAM...{ CS-Batch } and the winners were gifted by LADDU...hehe...
whol in whol the celebrations were top class...we really njoyed stuffs..
thanks to new princi....hooo i forgot to tell next week the next series examz gonna commencing..

Now into its third instalment, Nautilus is a technical festival traditionally held by the IEEE Student Chapter in FISAT. First conducted in 2004, it was initially meant as an intra-college fest, involving contests between branches and teams within the campus. Then, in 2005, Nautilus broke out of its shell, so to speak, blossoming into a wildly successful all-Kerala event. This time, we're taking it to the next logical phase - we're going national.

Nautilus '09 will be a two-day extravaganza of competitions, seminars and more, bringing together some of the finest student minds in the country, pitting them against one another in a battle for intellectual glory. We expect participation from more than two thousand students from various professional, science and arts colleges both inside and outside the state. With over fifteen technical competitions and fabulous cash prizes, the festival is certain to appeal to the best teams in the region. The additional attractions of the event are the technology demonstrations and workshops, not to mention the magnificent cultural evening that we have planned for the participants and sponsors at the end of the proceedings.

heyy frnds.. our MG university 1st yr exam results r out...heard tat our colg remains the top in results..i mean highest marks nd all //
but the prob is tat we still stand 1st to the nearby colgs in no of FAILUREs too...
i dont knw y...may b our colg due support more activities ???
in the colgs like adisankara,SCMS all haiving failure rates r less compared to us..even their mechanical branch s haiving 4 or 5 failure max.. wheras we haivng 25-35 in each branch//
wat does tat meanz ??
i personanly thg tat its most because of the internalz ther r getting..the other colgs d support max for their students wer our colg lacks tat... :(
they r giving much marks to the avg studes as interanlz tat in our colg the staffs r nt concerned abt..they r giving the actual marks that we r getting...results in much failures....
soo i pray tat it will change by the next examz....

can u see this in any other colgs ???hooo semingly hw beauty it does...???actually wat is the need of this ???do anybody used this pavements ??i thg itz only a waste of space.....or the officials could convert it into a play ground....or garden with beautiful flowers...guys wat is the need of SWAN [our nature club] in our colg ???is this nature loving ??only these r the tricks 4 cutting classes....actually itz a grace....... ;)wat is ur opinion...??should we plot the same Nadumuttam in our new constructing block ???

Hey guys luk at our college cricket team wit the CUP...........

we got our first trophy after 10 years of try..................................
even though we concuded wit our 2nd position ...itz time to celebrate......hihi
the team captain was Mr parthasaradhi................... he brighted wit his bat & bowl...

But althrough it was a team work to achieve this glory...............

this was tat glorious ground sry [pitch] tat we played................
our principal congratulated all the team members & offered 75 rupees per studends............hey guys itz true.................
this will the first time to get payed 4 played ...................................

& those students who missed the series will b recoverd by the next year hihi.....[2008] i mean after reopening..............
let s try to achieve more credit next time...........but we can chear FISAT....FISAT...FISAT....

This Engineering College is a self - financing institution established and managed by the Federal Bank Officers Association Educational Society (FBOAES) - an initiative of the Federal Bank Officers Association (FBOA) , the sole representative body of the entire officers in The Federal Bank with 35 years of yeomen services to its credit.
